Mike Berkemeier

Michael has been coaching volleyball since 2000 and was Hamilton’s girls’ varsity head coach in 2005 & 2006. From there, he was Fairfield’s boys’ and girls’ varsity head coach from 2007-2014 where he earned GMC Coach of the Year honors in 2011 and 2012. He also earned the South Region Division I Coach’s Achievement Award in 2011 and the South Region Division I Coach of the Year in 2012.

Since resigning as a varsity coach, Michael spent five seasons coaching for Cincinnati Attack primarily as a 14U-16U National head coach. While serving as OPVC's Boys Director of Coach and Player Development, Michael has been the head coach of OPVC's 14-1 (19-20), and 18-1 (20-present) teams. Outside of coaching, Michael is a father of three boys - Mike, Aidan, and Andrew - and serves as the principal of the Fairfield Freshman School.
