Ginger Hineline

Ginger Hineline hails from the small town of Wheatland, Wyoming, where as a standout athlete she won three high school state volleyball championships, a State Track Championship and a state Basketball Championship. She was an all state and all conference high school volleyball player. There was not any club volleyball programs in the state of Wyoming at that time so her senior year in high school she traveled twice a week three ½ hours each way to play club volleyball for Front Range Volleyball Club in Denver, Colorado. She earned all tournament team honors at the Crossroads USA Qualifier Tournament her senior year. These accomplishments helped Ginger earn a full ride scholarship to play Division I volleyball at the University of Wyoming. As the starting outside hitter, her 1989 Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball Team is the most successful in school history winning the HCAC Conference and going on to compete in the NCAA tournament beating highly ranked teams including 5th ranked Stanford at the time to advance to the NCAA Elite 8 nabbing an All Conference player title, and, in 1991, making the USVBA All American first team for Women’s Open Silver Division. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education/Health Sciences. In 2005 her 1989 University of Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball team was inducted into the University of Wyoming Hall of Fame.

Ginger has 35 years of experience coaching and training volleyball players, including a four-year College Coaching position as Assistant Coach for the Lady Vols volleyball team at the University of Tennessee. She has coached numerous volleyball camps across the country as a Division I college player and coach, and since moving to Cincinnati in 2003, has continued to coach Junior Olympic Club teams, camps, and clinics, along with doing individual and group training for volleyball players from kindergarten age to high school seniors. In 2010, she started Cincinnati Volleyball Academy, where she served as club director, personal trainer, and team coach—growing the program from 2 club teams to 22 in just five years. For the past 10 years, the club teams she has personally coached have consistently ranked in the top ten in the OVR every year with many in the top five rankings. She is recognized as one of the best youth volleyball trainers and coaches in the Cincinnati area. In 2020 Ginger was awarded the JVA Junior Club Service Award. This award recognizes the dedication and loyalty of the coaches, club directors and administrators of JVA member clubs who have been active in junior volleyball for at least 20 years.

Since starting Ohio Premier Volleyball Club in 2016 the club has grown from 11 teams to now 29 girls teams and started OPVC boys club that went from zero teams to 12 in second year. Her reputation, work ethic, and focused approach to organizational development have helped distinguish Ohio Premier as a leader in youth and club volleyball. Her leadership is central to Ohio Premier’s mission-focused approach and its strong commitment to grow the sport of volleyball. Hineline has been instrumental in the development and implementation of Ohio Premier’s extensive year-round slate of volleyball training. Hineline created, developed, and directs Ohio Premier’s successful Youth Volleyball Academy

Ginger currently lives in the Amelia area and has three children. Her oldest daughter is a college graduate from Miami University in Oxford. and played competitive volleyball for 9 years. Her youngest daughter Sydney played competitive volleyball for 9 years and is a graduate from UK, received her masters at UC in Health Administration and is also in the Air Force National Guard and her son is a college Senior at UC. Sydney has been a club coach and trainer at OPVC for the past two years and is now also club coordinator.
